Summary:PURPOSE:To simplify and downsize a structure by directly forming a gas outflow port to an air bag on an outer peripheral wall of a combustion chamber to house a gas generating agent, and arranging an annular gas filtering filter inside of this outer peripheral wall. CONSTITUTION:A combustion chamber 41 is composed of a pan-shaped member 49 having a bottom surface wall 44, an outer peripheral wall 45 and a collar part 47 and a cover member 51 to cover an opening of the pan-shaped member 49. A gas generating agent 43 is formed in an annular plate shape having a through hole in the center, and a cylindrical part 53 integrally formed in the center of the bottom surface wall 44 of the pan-shaped member 49 is inserted in the through hole. The cylindrical part 53 is penetratingly passed through the center of the cover member 51, and an igniter 53 is arranged. A gas outflow port 61 is formed on the outer peripheral wall 45 of the pan-shaped member 49, and an annular gas filtering filter 67 is arranged along the inside of the part. The gas generating agent 43 is directly housed so as to be situated adjacently to the inner periphery of the gas filtering filter 67.
