Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a controller for induction motor which can control the torque of an induction motor with high accuracy without spoiling the linearity of the torque even when a secondary magnetic flux or secondary current changes with time. CONSTITUTION:The primary current of an induction motor l is controlled so that the d-axis component Ids and q-axis component Iqs of the primary current can coincide with the d-axis component command Ids and q-axis component command Iqs* of the primary current converted by means of a command converting means 27 based on the primary frequency omega of the motor 1 at which the q-axis component of the secondary magnetic flux of the motor 1 becomes zero.
