PURPOSE:To provide a guard bar fitting structure of an automobile where the number of parts can be reduced, the work to fit a guard bar can be simplified, the cost can be reduced, generation of the defective appearance associated with the peeling of the coating film and the plated film or the like can be prevented, and the rigidity of the guard bar, especially the rigidity of the fitting part of the guard bar can be improved. CONSTITUTION:A fitting hole 7 is formed in a screw part 6b of a guard bar 6, and a projecting part 9 of the size which is projected to the opposite side to the fitting surface 8 of the screw part 6 and covered by a head part 15a of a fitting screw 15 is formed in an integratedly bendable manner on the part which is the peripheral edge part of the fitting hole 7 and corresponds to the head part 15a of a fitting screw 15. The fitting surface 8 of the screw part is abutted on the prescribed fitting part, a thread part 15b of the fitting screw 15 is inserted in the fitting hole 7, and the head part 15a of the fitting screw 15 is tightened into the projecting part 9 to fix the guard bar 6 to the prescribed fitting part.
