Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a sewing machine with a pattern reducing/enlarging function which allows selecting patterns which compose an embroidery pattern. CONSTITUTION:A selective part 1b among data stored in an embroidery pattern memory 1 is selected by a data selector 4. Selection by the data selector 4 is performed corresponding to the size specified by a size specifying device 3. A size adjusting device 5 reduces or enlarges the pattern data selected to the size specified by the size specifying device 3, and embroidery of the pattern is carried out by a stitch forming device 7 and an X-Y transfer device 9 according to the data prepared by the size adjusting device 5.
