Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency stabilizing time of a vibrator of the highly stable oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The highly stable oscillator using a thermostat control circuit 2 to control a current supplied to a 1st heating element 4 to maintain the temperature in a thermostat main body 6 to be constant thereby activating the vibrator is provided with a 2nd heating element 8 located in the thermostat main body 6, a sensing means 10 sensing the temperature of the thermostat main body 6 and a power supply means 12 supplying a current to the 2nd heating element 8 so as to only increase the temperature of the thermostat main body 6 in the vicinity of the temperature providing excellent frequency stability to the vibrator from a temperature lower than the temperature providing excellent frequency tability to the vibrator in response to an output signal of the sensing means 10.
