Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a lightning resistant horn by which thermal expansion or thermal contraction of an insulating filling layer between a current limiting element and a tension resistant insulating bar can be absorbed in either axial or radial direction and the current limiting element can be made compact. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical current limiting element 3 is fitted, inserted and arranged on the outer periphery of a tension resistant insulating bar 1, and an insulating overcoat body 15 is formed on the outer periphery of the current limiting element 3. An elastic insulating material is injected into a clearance between the current limiting element 3 and the tension resistant insulating bar 1, and an insulating filling layer 18 is formed. A notch groove 5 extending in the axis direction is formed on one side edge of the current limiting element 3.
