Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide improved operability and enhanced efficiency by facilitating the work of anchoring the end of a nonmetallic tension member to a steel sleeve via a room-temperature pressure-sensitive stiffener. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-shaped binding member 5 made of a room-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive is rounded into a cylindrical shape and inserted into a steel sleeve 4 and the end of a tension member 1 made of FRP is fitted into the member 5. Using a press die divided into two parts, loads are applied from the vertical direction to integrate the FRP tension member 1 and the steel sleeve 4 together via the binding member 5. The other end is similarly bonded to the sleeve. Therefore, a device for pressure connection can be made simple and lightweight, and the need for any particular temperature curing is eliminated for increased operability and efficiency and for cost reduction. |
