PURPOSE:To provide a working machine which can control the working of a workpiece in process and is equipped with a magnetic bearing spindle. CONSTITUTION:A working machine has a magnetic bearing spindle 4 and a working controller 5. The working controller 5 is provided with a magnetic bearing controller 18 to control an exciting current flowing in the electromagnets 7, 9 of the magnetic bearing spindle 4 and a worked form measuring section 19 to measure the worked form of a workpiece 2 from a displacement signal and a current signal which are extracted from the magnetic bearing controller 18, and stores a waveform corresponding to the presumed worked form of the workpiece 2. Thus, the working machine 1 has a waveform generating section 20 to output the waveform synchronously with the operation of the magnetic bearing spindle 4; a control gain output section 21 which computes a control gain from the worked form of the workpiece 2 measured by the worked form measuring section 19 and a target form and changes over the control gain at the 0-point of the waveform stored in the waveform generating section 20; and a control signal computing section 22 to compute a control signal to be output to the magnetic bearing controller 18.
