Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten the dimension in an axial length direction of a coaxial resonator and to perform miniaturization by providing a grounding electrode on the side face of a coupling member dielectric block and connecting the grounding electrode with a resonator external conductor or grounding it. CONSTITUTION:This filter is provided with coaxial directric resonators 1A and 1B and the coupling member dielectric block 6, hole part inner surface electrodes 7A and 7B corresponding to the internal conductors 4A and 4B of the respective resonators are formed in the block 6 and conductive rod members 9A and 9B for electrically connecting the internal conductors of the resonators and the hole part inner surface electrodes are provided. On the side face of the block 6, an input terminal electrode 8A for forming capacitive coupling with the hole part inner surface electrode 7A, an output terminal electrode 8B for forming the capacitive coupling with the hole part inner surface electrode 7B and the grounding electrodes 11A and 11B for forming the capacitive coupling with the hole part inner surface electrodes 7A and 7B are formed. A conductive cover 15 for connecting the grounding electrodes to the external conductors 3A and 3B of the resonators 1A and 1B is provided. Thus, without using special parts, a small-sized filter with improved triple higher harmonic suppression characteristics is obtained.
