Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent film pulled out from a cartridge loaded on a camera and partially wound up to a take-up spool from moving from the feed stop position of the film and loosening at the take-up spool in the camera using a film cartridge provided with a light shielding cover capable of opening and closing. CONSTITUTION:A first locking member 31 engaging and detaching with/from a cartridge spool gear 23a and a second locking member 32 engaging and detaching with/from a take-up spool gear 23b are disposed. Also, the device is provided with a first solenoid 33 actuating the first locking member 31, a second solenoid 34 actuating the second locking member 32 and a CPU 35 controlling the first and the second solenoids 33 and 34. The CPU 35 controls the first and the second solenoids 33 and 34 so as to make the first and the second locking members 31 and 32 engage with the gears 23a and 23b and lock the gears 23a and 23b at the non-feeding time of the film, so that the rotation of the cartridge spool and the take-up spool is stopped and the movement and loosening of the film are prevented.
