Summary:PURPOSE:To add the easiness of modeling and gamelike factors, to efficiently decrease the arithmetic quantity for hidden-surface erasure at the time of scene generation at a specified view point position and the amount of unnecessary data when a three-dimensional scene viewed from the specified view point is generated, and to enable real-time animation generation. CONSTITUTION:This three-dimensional moving picture generation device is equipped with a shape modeling part 1 which generates and edits a shape in a way of stacking basic primitives on a screen when three-dimensional shape data are modeled, a scene generation part 3 which arrange components generated by it at optional positions in a scene, and a data management part 6 which subdivides the scene into plural subscenes, and manages and retrieve three- dimensional shape data on a three-dimensional body included in the respective subscenes and hierarchical image data viewed from plural view points, subscene by subscene, so as to render an optional generated scene.
