Summary:PURPOSE:To measure the concentration of dissolved gas accurately by easily sampling the underground water, while keeping the pressure thereof, from a required depth without pumping and measuring the concentration of a dissolved gas easily and accurately through a gas detector while employing the gas chromatography at need. CONSTITUTION:A sampling case 16 coupled with a foot valve 26 is fed, through a high pressure hose 30, with air pressure high enough to keep closed state of the foot valve 26 until the sampling case 16 reaches a required depth in the underground water 14. The sampling case 16 is then sunk down to a required depth while keeping the pressurized state. Subsequently, the pressure in the sampling case 16 is reduced so that the underground water at the required depth flows into the case 16. The pressure for closing the foot valve 26 is then applied through the high pressure hose 30 to the underground water contained in the case 16. The case 16 is then lifted up while keeping the pressurized state.
