Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a dermal agent for external use, composed of a specified sulfonium compound and an oilphilic agent, not containing water, excellent in percutaneous absorption, having an antiallergic effect and useful for therapy of allergic diseases. CONSTITUTION:This dermal agent for external use is composed of (A) a sulfonium compound of the formula [R1 and R2 are each a lower alkyl; R3 is H, OH, a lower alkoxy, a lower acyloxy, carboxyethylcarbonyloxy, benzoyloxy, etc.; R4 is H, OH, a lower alkoxy, a cycloalkyloxy, phenoxy, a lower acyloxy or benzoyloxy; Y is an acid residue; n is 1 to 3] and (B) an oilphilic agent such as a fatty acid ester, an aromatic carboxylic acid ester, a phosphoric acid ester, vaseline or rubber and does not contain water.
