Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection of stability owing to an individual difference between a number of revolutions detecting means and an engine itself and to improve control precision of stability control by a method wherein when stability of an internal combustion engine is controlled by detecting a rotation fluctuation, a target value of stability is learnt and variably set. CONSTITUTION:It is decided at S71 by a control unit with a built-in microcomputer whether an operation condition is a learning condition. When it is the learning condition, a present learning condition is read, and a weighted average value Sfiid of a rotation fluctuation amount is calculated. When the weighted average value Sfiid is below a given value, division by a gear position correction factor SLG is effected to determine a learning value GSL of a rotation fluctuation at S72-S76. The determined learning value GSL is stored at the corresponding operation region of a learning map togetherwith a set value of a learnt flag FSL at S77 and S78. A stability target value is set by multiplying a learning value stored at the learning map with a gear correction factor. |
