Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the power supply to a printer shared by a plurality of host computers from being disconnected carelessly. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of an on or off command signal transmitted from multiple host computers 1, 2, 3..., since the content of a storage area 16 corresponding to a host computer which transmits the command signal is renewed, and a main power supply 26 is disconnected only when all the content of each area commands a disconnect of power, a careless disconnect of power supply can be prevented.
