Summary:PURPOSE:To determine whether an oxygen sensor can be employed or not easily before use by sealing and packaging an oxygen gas sensor, a deoxygenation agent, and an oxygen detection agent with an oxygen gas barrier transparent film. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen gas sensor 1 consists of an electrolytic cell where an anode 5, a cathode 3, and an electrolyte 4 are accommodated and an oxygen gas sensor package is formed by sealing and packaging a deoxygenation agent and an oxygen detection agent with oxygen gas barrier transparent film. A thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene is used for the sensor body 1 and the electrolyte 4 is filled into the inside sealed by a gas transmission film 2 and an expansion film 11 which are fixed at both sides of the anode 5 and the cathode 3. In this package, it is not necessary to seal inactive gas to enable packaging in atmosphere so that the packaging operation needs not be performed under a specific inactive atmosphere and the packaging operation can be rationalized. Also, by loading an oxygen detection agent, a package which is defective in non-oxygen state can be determined visually for treating as a non-conforming article.
