Summary:PURPOSE:To elongate contacting time between hot air current and granular bodies in a drum and increase drying capacity, in a drying drum, in which ascending air current is generated by hot air and granular bodies blown up in a standing drum. CONSTITUTION:A guide wall for providing hot are, passing through ventilating holes 17, with an ascending power and a turning power is provided on a perforated plate 6 attached to the lower part of a drum 1 whereby whirling stream is generated in the hot air to blow the granular bodies up. A stalling part 13, having a large sectional area, is provided on the upper end of the drum 1 to descend the granular bodies, insufficient in drying, by stalling and drying the grains repeatingly by the hot air.
