Summary:PURPOSE:To lower cost, such as energy cost and chemicals cost, to reduce the volume of a solidified body obtained and to improve properties by adding a specified quantities of water and slaked lime to incineration ash to knead them and compressing the obtained kneaded material with a specified pressure to solidify it. CONSTITUTION:3-20wt.% Water and 1-10wt.% Ca(OH)2 are added to incineration ash, such as an incineration residue and flying ash discharged from a municipal waste incineration treatment facility and kneaded. Next, the kneaded material is formed into an arbitrary shape under a pressure of 100-500kg/cm to form it into a solidified body. At this time, the kneaded material to which water and slaked lime are added is compressed, and formed preferably in a non-heating state, that is, at room temp. and when the kneaded material generates heat by compression or after compression, the mixture is gradually cooled while it is kneaded, otherwise the obtained kneaded material is cooled to not more than +10 deg.C of environmental temp. (room temp.), and compressed and formed into the solidified body. In this way, the lowering of strength due to the heat generation is prevented to obtain a solidified body of high strength and stability.
