Summary:PURPOSE:To almost eliminate outflow of a coated granular fertilizer to environment, to prevent nitrogen contamination of a water system, to save labor and to improve fertilizer utilization efficiency by mixing a specific coated granular fertilizer with soil for raising seeding and using it during a period of raising seedling from seeding of rice till transplanting. CONSTITUTION:A coated granular fertilizer such as a nitrogen fertilizer having elution function of elution ratio during a period of raising seedling from seeding of rice seed till transplanting controlled to 0.5-10wt.%, preferably 1-7wt.% is premixed with soil for raising seedling. The whole amount of the mixture is applied as a basal dressing to rice seedling during raising seedling seeded in a box for raising seedling, thus eluted nitrogen utilization from seeding to a maturation period is improved to >=85%.
