Summary:PURPOSE:To eliminate a bonding process to reduce production cost and make a plate material very thin by interposing a permanent magnet material and a filler material between two plate-shaped magnetic members. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic material powder and metal material powder are mixed in a suitable ratio and a rod-shaped ingot 21 is produced with the mixture. By using a magnetic material having high magnetic permeability, a magnetic steel pipe having slightly larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the ingot 21 and the same length as the ingot 21 is produced. The ingot 21 is inserted into the magnetic steel pipe 22 to produce a column member 23. The column member 23 is swaged. The composite magnetic material enclosed in the steel pipe is shrunk in the radial direction and elongated in the lengthy direction and a rod 24 is produced. The composite rod 24 is rolled to form a thin composite plate 25. The magnetic material and the magnetic steel pipe are press-bonded, and the composite plate is formed so as to have specified thickness and thickness tolerance can be minimized.
