Summary:PURPOSE:To display contents in accordance with the order of semantic distance to a retrieval keyword by using a thesaurus for the retrieval keyword inputted in a natural language. CONSTITUTION:An input means 1 is the keyboard to input an inquiry text including a marked keyword. A storage means 2 is the floppy disk/ROM or the like where the thesaurus is stored. A temporary storage means 3 temporarily stores inputted information in a RAM, a hard disk, a floppy disk, or the like. An input character string analysis means 4 subjects the inquiry text to morpheme analysis and syntax analysis to segment a word for thesaurus collation. A data exchanging means 5 sends the keyword to a dictionary retrieval device and receives dictionary information corresponding to the keyword from the dictionary retrieval device.
