Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency and quality of preparation of a state transition table by describing copying specification for automatically copying the contents of transition in the state transition table. CONSTITUTION:A data structure preparing means 102 prepares a data structure corresponding to a state transition table including copy specification. At this time, a transition content judging means 103 judges the described contents of a transition box, and in the case of copy specification, a copy relation information generating means 104 adds copy relation information to the data structure. Then a transition information retrieving means 105 retrieves the transition box having transition contents and a transition content copy means 106 executes copy processing of the same transition contents to transition boxes having no transition contents and connected like a tree with the transition box retrieved by the mean 105 as a start point. Consequently, normal transition contents are substituted for the contents of a transition box subjected to copy specification of the state transition table and a program is prepared by a program preparing means.
