Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of image defects in an image formed with an electrophotographic photoreceptor using an Al or Al alloy substrate treated with water before a photosensitive layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:An Al or Al alloy substrate 1 is treated with water before a photosensitive layer is formed and the amts. of hydrogen and oxygen contained in the treated substrate 1 are regulated to <=wt.ppm and <=20wt.ppm, respectively. At this time, the amt. of hydrogen in the formed boehmite layer is preferably regulated to <=0.2wt.ppm. |
