Summary:PURPOSE:To highly precisely improve the color reproducibility of a color with high chroma while holding an achromatic color in a black plate by making the coefficients of a base color removal processing different according to a chrominance signal to be processed. CONSTITUTION:A color correction processing part 2 converts inputted R, G, and B signals into Y, M, and C signals in complementary colors. An ink generation processing part 3 generates an ink print K signal from the output signals Y, M, and C of the color correction processing part 2, in regard to output signals Y, M, C for example, Y signal, an under color removal processing part 4 outputs an under color removed signal Y' by using a black plate signal K, and Y signal as an input signal. Y'=(Y-K)/Uy(K), M'=(M-K)/Um(K), and C'=(C-K)/Uc(K) are used as conversion expressions. The Uy(K), Um(K), and Uc(K) are different values, and the values are obtained by table conversion by using the ink print K signal as a parameter.
