Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a novel wire rod winding device capable of manufacturing a high-quality coil having uniform winding. CONSTITUTION:A vertically moved bobbin 2 is provided in a rotary shuttle 1, a wire rod is guided by guide rolls 5 from the upper inlet of the rotary shuttle 1 through a dancer 4 and wound on the bobbin 2 in a wire rod winding device, a tension measuring unit is installed between the dancer 4 and the inlet of the rotary shuttle 1 to measure the bobbin winding tension, a dancer weight is controlled based on its signal, and the wire rod is wound on the bobbin 2 invariably at the proper constant tension.
