Summary:PURPOSE:To separate and recover high-concn. CO2 by passing combustion waste gas in a pressurized state through a first PSA device packed with a carbonaceous absorbent or the like, regenerating the gas than atmospheric pressure to obtain the gas as CO2 enriched one, then passing the gas enrichment in CO2 through a second PSA device packed with a zeolite absorbent in an normal pressure, and regenerating the gas in a reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:CO2 in combustion exhaust gas is separated and removed by PSA (pressure variation absorption) method. In this process, after the exhaust gas is dehumidified, the exhaust gas passes in a pressurized state through a first PSA device 16 packed with a carbonaceous absorbent (e.g. active carbon) or a hydrotalcite absorbent, and regenerated in the atmospheric pressure to obtain the gas enriched in CO2. Then the gas CO2 enriched in CO2 passes through the second PSA device 20 packed with a zeolite absorbent in the normal pressure and regenerated in reduced pressure to separate and recover high-concn. CO2.
