Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the lock releasing mechanism of a light shielding cover by which the size of a cartridge and a camera is kept small and which hardly receives the effect of the dimensional variation of the cartridge and the camera. CONSTITUTION:On a bottom cover 5 axially coupled with the camera main body 4, a light shielding cover opening and closing driver 6 coupled to a key groove 2 formed on the cartridge 1, a releasing pin 7 for releasing a lock member 2c, a guide member 8 regulating the movement of the pin 7 and a spring member 9 energizing the pin 7 are provided. When the cover 5 is closed, a lock member pressing part 7a abuts on the lock member 2c. Besides, the lock member 2c is gradually bent and the bend thereof is stopped because the abutting part 7b of the pin 7 abuts on the cartridge when the cover 5 is perfectly closed.
