Summary:PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a key for deletion by realizing deletion of each undesired line out of a simple format with no switch of an input mode. CONSTITUTION:A read means 5 reads a simple format out of a 2nd memory means 4 and displays it on a display means 2. A retrieving means 6 retrieves a flow-in symbol of the read-out simple format. A replacement means 7 replaces the flow-in symbol with a character supplied via a key input means 1 and displays it on the means 2. In case a line where no input of character is required is detected with the flow-in symbol retrieved by the means 6, a deletion means 8 deletes the relevant line when an operator operates a specific key to instruct the start of a flow-in action of the means 1. Thus it is possible to delete the undesired lines with no switch of an input mode and to simplify the operations of keys.
