Summary:PURPOSE:To automatically convey at an initial stage, to improve productivity and to accurately press in a conveyor in the pressing step of a carrier tape. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor feeds a carrier tape 4 wound on a supply roller 3 to a press 1, presses the tape 4 by the press 1, conveys the tape 4 and takes it up by a take-up roller 10. The conveyor comprises first conveying means 21 for conveying a lead tape 23 provided at an end of the tape 4 at an initial stage of starting pressing by the press 1 thereby to sequentially feed the tape 4 from the roller 3 to the press 1, and second conveying means 22 for conveying the tape 4 pressed by the press 1 thereby to sequentially feed the tape 4 from the roller 3 to the press 1.
