Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a flowmeter, which stably maintains the flow dividing ratio of fluid flowing through a main path and a bypass and greatly improves the accuracy of flow-rate measurement. CONSTITUTION:In an air flowmeter 1, a main path 610 is formed between the inner wall surfaces of an upstream-side cylindrical body 200, a central cylindrical body 100 and a downstream-side cylindrical body 300 and the outer wall surface of a central member 600. A bypass 620 is formed in the central member 600. The bypass 620 has an axial-direction path part 622, a path part 624 in the direction of the diameter and an escaping path part 626. Sensors 570 and 580 for detecting the flow rate of air are provided in the axial-direction path part 622. The cross-sectional area of the path of the bypass 620 is set so that the ratio between the minimum path cross-sectional area A1 at a position B of the axial-direction path part 622 and the minimum path cross-sectional area A2 at a position C of the path part in the direction of the diameter 624 is set as A2/A1>=1.4. Thus, the air flow rate at the relatively stable rate with respect to the air flow rate in the main path 610 is secured in the bypass.
