Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the memory capacity of a memory part which stores the geoid level. CONSTITUTION:A geoid level due to the synthetic ground measuring system such as WGS-84 is stored. A local ground measuring system altitude calculation part 18 is fed with the level data due to the local ground measuring system from a coordinates system conversion part 16 and with the geoid level due to the WGS-84 from its geoid level memory part 24. The altitude calculation part 18 determines the level movement thereto from the WGS-84, subtracts it from the geoid level read out of the memory part 24, and determines the level over the meaz sea level by subtracting the obtained difference from the level data given by the coordinates system conversion part 16. Accordingly even a WGS-84 geoid level memory part 24 having a minor memory capacity can well manage the tasks.
