Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a pseudo moving-bed liq. chromatographic separator capable of efficiently separating components and excellent in profitability. CONSTITUTION:The number of unit packed beds (column) in at least one zone among the four zones constituting the separator is made different from the number of columns in other zones. Further, the ratio of the number of columns in zone 2 to the number of columns in zone 1 and the ratio of the number of columns in zone 3 to the number of columns in zone 4 are controlled to 1.0-5.0 or preferably to 2.0-3.0.
