Namely, unexpanded parts 12a-12c are formed and when pulsative lights are made incident, the intensity level of backward scattered light which varies large (13a-13e) for the core expansion storage parts 11a-11e and has a little variation (14a-14c) for the unexpanded parts 12a-12c is obtained to store information on core numbers, etc.
