Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a hollow-fiber membrane module assembly with the membranes in the module hardly adhered to each other or integrated even when used in filtering highly contaminated water, with the filtration function restored easily and efficiently and capable pf being disposed in a tank filter, etc., with good volume efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped hollow-fiber membrane 7 with the end opened is fixed in a structural material 5 having a fixing member 6, and a hollow-fiber membrane module 1 with the cross section of the member 6 vertical to the membrane made almost slender rectangular is connected to plural water pipes 2. The membranes 7 are expanded by a supporting member 4, and the U-shaped top of the membrane is held and fixed. The sheet-shaped membranes in the module are positioned almost in parallel with one another.
