Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the shaking of the machine body and design the structure so that a device for transmission of the power to rear wheels may rarely come into contact with a projection on the ground, e.g. a rock or a stump in a riding lawn mower in which the axle case of the rear wheels is installed to a mobile machine body so as to be supported freely rotatable around the back-and-force axis. CONSTITUTION:The rolling axis X of rear wheels is set in the neighborhood of the lower surface of the car body frame (a) higher than the axle case (4a) of the rear wheels. In addition, this riding lawn mower is designed so that the power may be transmitted from a running mission case (M) at the front part of the machine body through a transmission shaft 7 arranged along the neighborhood of the under surface of the car body frame (a), a joint shaft 8 and a transmission gear in a vertical auxiliary transmission case 9 to the rear wheels 4.
