Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the seismic intensity information and alarm at an early time and satisfy the standard of the supposed standard seismic intensity by transmitting the short period seismic intensity information and alarm information from the detection time for the generation of earthquake and repetitively obtaining the short time seismic intensity for the period of 60sec., and setting the max. value as the supposed standard seismic intensity. CONSTITUTION:An accelerating speed sensor 2 detects each accelerating speed in the longitudinal, transverse, and vertical directions, and sends the accelerating speed data to the printer part 4 of a body 1, and analogue-records the data through the lapse of time. The time when the accelerating speed data exceeds a previously set threshold value is judged as the earthquake generation time, and the calculating device of the body 1 calculates the short period seismic intensity on the basis of the max. value of the accelerating speed data group in ten seconds after the earthquake generation time, and displays the result at a liquid crystal display part 5 and the high luminance display part 8 of an outside display device 3, and operates an alarm device 9. Further, at each lapse of one sec., the processing for obtaining the short period seismic intensity is repeated for 60 seconds, and the supposed standard seismic intensity Imax is obtained from the max. value a max of the short period seismic intensity Imax=2Xlog(amax)+0.7.
