PURPOSE:To execute the uniform heating without waste by effectively making use of the temperature rising capacity in each combustion zone of the continuous heating furnace having a plurality of combustion zones. CONSTITUTION:In the continuous heating furnace having a plurality of combustion zones, the predicted residence time for each zone is first obtained. The possible amount of the temperature rise for each zone is obtained by the residence time and the temperature rise gradient, and the target temperature on the output side for each zone is obtained from the final extraction temperature side to the front zone side. This constitution increases the load from the front zone side for the shortage in burning, leading to elimination of the shortage in burning caused by the pitch fluctuation to employ the heat pattern of the high load in the rear zone, and realizing the uniform heating.
