Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a hair-treating agent effective for protecting hair from ultraviolet ray and imparting hair with moistness and luster lasting till the next shampooing. CONSTITUTION:The hair-treating agent such as hair rinse, hair conditioner, hair treatment, hair pack and shampoo contains (A) 1-10wt.% of a cationic surfactant such as a compound of formula I (at least one of R1 to R4 is 8-28C alkyl, alkenyl, hydroxyalkyl, hydroxyalkenyl, benzene ring, alkoxy or polyalkoxy and the others are the above groups or a group having smaller carbon number such as methyl or ethyl; X is halogen), (B) 0.1-10wt.% (in terms of solid) of a vegetable protein such as a compound of formula II (Y is residue obtained by removing one H from amino group, etc., of a hydrolyzed protein; R1 to R3 are methyl or 10-24C alkyl; X is halogen) and (C) 0.1-10wt.% of a lanolin- based substance.
