Summary:PURPOSE:To set scheduled speaking time corresponding to the telephone use conditions of a user and to more surely select an inexpensive line by executing an automatic lowest value line selection (LCR) function based on the scheduled speaking time set for each time zone by a time setting means. CONSTITUTION:In addition to the LCR function, an LCR control part 26 is provided with a function as a DTMF circuit to synthesize a dial signal based on a reference clock and generates/sends a DTMF signal corresponding to the push-down information of a push button dial switch 21. First of all, the telephone number of a party to be spoken is dialed by the push button dial switch 21. When this dial operation is completed, the scheduled speaking time corresponding to the time zone at the dialing is discriminated based on scheduled speaking time data for each time zone stored in a set speaking time memory 12a. Next, a local area code, time zone and the day of the week or the like are discriminated, further, the most inexpensive line is selected based on the discriminated LCR information, and dial transmission is performed by the selected line number.
