PURPOSE:To learn the usable time of a battery within a battery pack in response to load current. CONSTITUTION:The loading device 8 is equipped with a battery 2 capable of being charged, and with a battery pack 1 provided with a non-volatile memory 3 storing the nominal charge capacity value and a remaining charge capacity value of the battery 2. The loading device includes a current detector 14 detecting the loading current of the battery 2, a current integrating means 15 integrating current detected by the current detector 14, outputting the present remaining charge capacity value of the battery 2 based on the result of aforesaid integration, the initial remaining charge capacity value and the nominal charge capacity value read out of the memory 3, an operation means 16 computing the usable time of the battery 2 based on the present remaining charge capacity value from the current integrating means 15 and load current, and includes a display means 17 displaying the usable time of the battery 2 computed by the operating means 16. This battery loading device allows remaining charge capacity value stored in the memory 3 to be rewritten into a present remaining charge capacity value from the current integrating means 15.
