Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide a low-protein dairy product for nursing containing cow milk whey protein and/or a hydrolyzate thereof as the chief protein ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The low-protein dairy product for nursing with cow milk whey protein and/or a hydrolyzate thereof as the chief protein ingredient, formulated with 2.5 to 5.0wt.%, based on the whole amino acid in the final product, of L-histidine or a pharmacologically permissible salt thereof. With this product, the protein concentration in the standard milk preparation can be regulated to a level of as low as <=1.6wt./vol., mitigating the burden on the digestive absorption and kidney for a nursling and normally maintaining the blood amino acid level in the nursling. |
