Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a tin alloy thin sheet excellent in formability. CONSTITUTION:This tin alloy thin sheet contains an elemental compsn. selected from a group of 50 to 1000ppm Cu, 30 to 2000ppm Sb, 30 to 300ppm Bi and 30 to 100ppm Fe. Furthermore, even in the case Pb, As, Cd, Cr or Hg is contained in inevitable impurities, it is generally regulated so that the total content will be made <=250ppm. The preferable tin allay thin sheet is a one in which at least two kinds of elemental compsns. selected from the group of 50 to 1000ppm Cu, 10 to 2000ppm Sn, 10 to 300ppm Bi and 5 to 100ppm Fe are combined. In this way, at the time of subjecting this tin allay thin sheet to forming, the effect that cracks and pinholes are hard to generate can be given. Furthermore, the effect that surface roughness is small after the forming can be given. Namely, because of its good formability, this formed part is easy to seal and is suitably usable as a cap seal for sealing the cap of a vessel of whisky or the like.
