Summary:PURPOSE:To efficiently perform container handling work in a short time to a container transport ship coming alongside a quay. CONSTITUTION:A device is constituted of a frame 6 movably arranged in a quay, rail 8 provided in an upper part of the frame 6 to extend onto a container transport ship 2 coming alongside the quay, trolley 9 runnably arranged on the rail 8, ramp 13 rotatably mounting the one end to a bottom plate 6a of the frame 6, container transfer feeding carriage 15 movable toward a deck of the container transport ship 2 from above the bottom plate 6a of the frame 6 to pass through the ramp 13 and a connecting rod 16 for connecting the trolley 9 to the container transfer feeding carriage 15. A container 3, passing through the ramp 13, is transfer fed onto the container transport ship 2 by the container transfer feeding carriage 15 moved by the trolley 9 arranged on the rail 8 of the frame 6.
