Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a pattern forming device which allows irradiation on a sample plane by quick original picture replacement without replacing an original picture in an optical path. CONSTITUTION:A pattern forming device is provided with a means 4 which diverges laser beams from a laser oscillator 1 and make an original picture irradiated with the beams convered almost in parallel and a means 6 which converges the parallel laser beams that have passed through the original picture for marking. Thus, the effects of transferring and marking a clear and accurate pattern on a sample are provided without damaging the transmission-type liquid crystal display device.
