Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a cleaning device capable of cleaning a screen up to the interior of the image perforations thereof. CONSTITUTION:The main body 2 of a cleaning device 1 is freely movable in a Y-direction. The cleaning paper 4 delivered from the supply roller 5 of the main body 2 is trained over an almost flat plate-shaped pad 8 having uneven parts to be connected to a taking-up roller 6. The pad 8 is freely movable up and down and freely shakable in the X-direction (right-angled to the Y- direction) and can be revolved within a horizontal plane while it is held in parallel to the X-direction. After an org. solvent is supplied to the paper 4 in a supply part 19, the cleaning device 1 enters the area under a screen 17. The pad 8 is driven upwardly to push up the screen 17 and the motions or rotary motions in the X- and Y-directions are combined to clean the screen. The org. solvent issuing from the paper 4 dissolves the paste in the image perforations of the screen and flows out of the screen in the recessed parts of the pad to be absorbed by the paper.
