Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject film prepared by applying a specific coating on the surface of a polyester film, suitable for magnetic recording materials, etc., and excellent in antistatic properties, slippery smoothness, water solubility, adhesiveness, blocking resistance and solvent resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective film has a coating of a mixture consisting of (A) a water soluble copolyester such as a copolyester, etc., obtained by copolymerizing 10-20mol% ester forming alkali sulfonate and (B) an oxazoline- based reactive polymer (the mixing ratio of the component A to B is 10/90 to 99.9/0.1 by wt. ratio) and being mainly a water dispersible or water soluble oxazoline compound, at least on one surface of a polyester film such as polyethylene terephthalate.
