Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recorder capable of performing ideal printing without reducing a dot diameter with the reduction of an ink amount in an ink tank with respect to an ink jet recorder supplying liquid link stored in an ink tank to a recording head and performing recording by jetting the ink out of a nozzle of the recording head to a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recorder supplying liquid with an stored in an ink tank to a recording head 3 provided with an ink pressurizing means 8 and performing recording by jetting the ink 101 to recording paper from a nozzle 6 of the recording head 3 by applying a drive voltage to the ink pressurizing means 8, an ink reduction amount detection means 207 for detecting reduction of ink in the ink tank and a voltage varying means 201 for varying a drive voltage to be applied to the ink pressurizing means 8 are provided.
