Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the oxygen saturation degree measuring instrument which can measure the oxygen saturation degree of blood with high accuracy without being affected by a reflected light from a blood vessel wall, etc. CONSTITUTION:This measuring instrument is provided with light emission diodes 17, 18 for radiating the light of first and second wavelengths being different, respectively into blood, and a photodiode 19 for detecting each of reflected light intensities from the blood of the light of first and second wavelengths, and constituted so that, in the reflected light intensities respectively corresponding to the light of first and second wavelength detected by this photodiode 19, for instance, the minimum value with respect to the light of second wavelength is derived, and based on its minimum value and the reflected light intensity of the light of the first wavelength corresponding thereto, the oxygen saturation degree is calculated.
