Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a housing type fender mirror, which can prevent the generation of accident such as damage due to an abutment of a mirror at the time of parking and stopping of a vehicle and which can improve the value of design of a car body without having a projection. CONSTITUTION:In a housing type fender mirror, which is provided inside of an engine room 1 or inside of a front fender of a vehicle (b) and which is fitted freely to appear and disappear from/into the engine room 1 or the front fender, an opening 4 is provided at an appearance/disappearance position of a fender mirror body 16 in a bonnet 3 or a fender 9. The fender mirror body 6, which is turned or elevated to be positioned inside of the engine room 1 or the front fender and the side of a car body, is provided at a side of the engine room 1 or the front fender 1 so as to correspond to the opening 4.
