Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent any drop of measuring accuracy caused by scatter of the static flow rate property and dynamic flow rate property of a fuel injection valve and measure and indicate a fuel consumption with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:An effective injection pulse width Te is found out by deducting an ineffective period from the pulse width Ti of an injection pulse signal and an integrated value integral Te is found out by integrating Te. A fuel injection amount Qf is calculated by using this integrated value integral Te and the standard flow rate KF1 of an injection valve and a fuel consumption FC is foud out from the fuel injection amount Qf and the integrated value integral L of a distance L. Under a condition (S21) in which an air fuel ratio is controlled to a theoretical air fuel ratio, the mutual relation ship between a intake air amount Qa and an effective injection pulse width Te is found out (S24, S26) and the ineffective period Ts is corrected based on this result (S29). In a fuel supply time, the standard flow rate KF1 is corrected after comparing an actual fuel supply amount Qcal with an estimated injection amount Qf.
